About Dr. Aditya Sharma
Dr. Aditya Sharma is an Associate Professor in the CIS Department at the School of Business at North Carolina Central University. His research is focused on the Adoption and Diffusion of Innovation, Disruptive technologies such as RFID and radical change, the use of Organizational theories to explain decision-making, and an overview of Diversity Research within the Information Systems discipline. Dr. Sharma has published in the leading conferences and journals in his field and has over 350 citations of his work. His most recent publication with his co-authors was in a leading journal Scientometrics in 2020 titled, “What does MIS survey research reveal about diversity and representativeness in the MIS field? A content analysis approach”. Dr. Sharma has a PhD in Business with a specialization in MIS from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University in Atlanta. He also has an MBA and an MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas, Lawrence.
About his Spiritual Journey
Aditya Sharma is a humble servant of the lord who for his sustenance, works as an Associate Professor in the CIS Department at the School of Business, NCCU and is fortunate to have a front row seat into the future. To fulfill the yearning of the soul, Aditya has delved in to various spiritual texts of Vedic Dharma including the Bhagwad Gita, Srimad Bhagwatam, Vedant, and also other philosophy and schools of thought. He is a facilitator of the Bhagwad Gita Study group organized by JKYOG and writes and posts
extensively on the Gita. Aditya chooses to expresses himself through his writings (both prose and poetry) in English as well as in his native languages Hindi and Urdu. Some of his writings have been published in local publications in India. He has written songs and poetry for various events in the US the latest being a Bharatanatyam dance show titled Vande Mataram which was an ode to our motherland. He has also recited works of famous Indian poets, including some of his own poems at a local meeting of the Hindi
chapter of Urdu Majilis in February 2013 and April 2019. He has also participated in the reading of Sonnets, to commemorate the birth anniversary of William Shakespeare every year, since April 2017 at the Sonorous Theater in Raleigh. Aditya was a part of the musical play Black Nativity, a Justice Theater Project production in 2012, as an actor and singer. As the unhindered spirit, in its present embodiment, Aditya feels very blessed and thankful to the lord for entrusting him with gifts and seeks to work as an instrument to serve the Lord and His creation.
