The people of Gujarat are warm and vibrant and this truly reflects in their hospitality.  Swami Mukundananda as a part of his India tour spent 12 days travelling in different parts of Gujarat.  In a very short span of time he visited Vapi, Baroda, Anand, Palanpur and Patan.  Wherever Swamiji arrived during his Gujarat tour, the devotees welcomed him with great joy and eagerness.

Gujarat is proud to host nine JKYog Satsang Centres.  Some of these centres have been running very successfully for many years now.  For e.g. Swamiji had established the Radha Krishna Satsang Mandal in Patan in the year 2004.  Since then, the satsang center has been attracting dozens of people towards spirituality.

In fact, this year the residents of Patan got even luckier.  After a long gap of twelve years, Swamiji conducted an extended program in their city.  Previously in 2004, Swamiji had conducted a 24 day program in Patan.  This time Swamiji conducted a week long Bhagavat Saptah.

The program began with a grand procession of the Srimad Bhagavatam.  As per the local traditions, devotees performed poojan of the ‘Bhagavat Puran Granth’ and carried it with grand celebrations to the program venue.

Once the program began, it started attracting more and more crowds each day. Each day of the program was a joyous celebration.  Ram Janm utsav, Krishna Janm utsav, Giri Govardhan utsav were all celebrated as a part of the Bhagavat Saptah.  The scenes for each of these occasions were actually recreated during the program so that the audience could be fully immersed in the bliss of divine leelas narrated by Swamiji.

Finally the program concluded on 30th January with a return pothi yatra.  The granth was taken back from the venue location in another grand procession.  As always the devotees wished that the program had never ended.  Swamiji thanked all the volunteers for their hard work in making the program such a huge success.  He also encouraged them to continue their seva and sadhana in the same spirit.

With Swami Mukundananda’s Gujarat Tour 2016 coming to an end, it’s time for residents of Indore to gear up for Swamiji’s program. For more details of Swamiji’s Indore visit, go to: https://www.jkyog.org/events/
