This year the occasion of Bhakti Diwas turned out to be a truly blissful and memorable occasion for devotees of Sambalpur, Odisha. Swami Mukundananda who is presently touring Odisha, arrived in Sambalpur on the special occasion of Bhakti Diwas, the New Year Day.
The New Year day is lovingly celebrated as ‘Bhakti Diwas’ by the devotees of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj. Many years ago, Shree Maharajji had declared 1st January as the Bhakti Diwas. 1st January marks the beginning of a new year. The purpose of designating this day as Bhakti Diwas is to inspire people to resolve to do Hari Guru bhakti throughout the year.
So on this auspicious occasion, Swamiji gave a lecture and conducted kirtan program for all the devotees. The program was followed by a devotional cultural program for Bhakti Diwas organised by students of Sambalpur. The program included devotional dance performances dedicated to God and Guru.
