JKYog's Initiative for Preserving Indian Heritage

Sanskriti International is an initiative by JKYog (Jagadguru Kripalu Yog) aimed at promoting and preserving the rich cultural heritage of India. JKYog is a spiritual organization founded by Swami Mukundananda, and it emphasizes the teachings of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, a revered spiritual leader. It's impressive to hear how Sanskriti International has expanded its reach and offerings in just a few years since its inception in Connecticut, USA. The organization's ability to adapt and innovate, especially in the face of challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, is commendable.

Swami Mukundananda, the founder of JKYog, plays a pivotal role in presenting the grand prize of the Sanskriti Idol. It's a way to acknowledge and encourage outstanding performers and artists who have demonstrated their prowess in all art forms while also embracing and promoting the cultural and spiritual aspects of Indian traditions.

Online Contests and Global Participation

With over 50+ online contests that cover various aspects of Indian culture and spirituality, Sanskriti International provides a platform for individuals of all age groups to participate and showcase their talents. These contests span across performing arts, literary arts, and visual arts categories, demonstrating the diversity and richness of Indian cultural expressions. The emphasis on encouraging creative use of both print and digital media is particularly noteworthy in a modern world heavily influenced by technology. The inclusive approach, where anyone, regardless of their geographic location, can participate in these contests, allows for a broader audience to engage with and celebrate Indian culture. This initiative not only preserves and promotes Indian traditions but also fosters creativity and talent across a global community. Sanskriti International appears to be making valuable contributions to the preservation and dissemination of Indian cultural heritage.

Unique Guest Appearances

The past year, Sanskriti International marked the presence of several influential personalities in various fields. Mr. Madhu Reddy served as a platinum sponsor for the event, is a strong supporter of Sanskriti, and possesses an appreciation for Indian culture. The event also had Nidhi Pant, the Co-founder of Science For Society (S4S Technologies), as a guest speaker. S4S Technologies is likely an organization or company focused on science and technology for societal benefit. Dr. Niveditha & Ishanvi – a mother-daughter duo who run a YouTube channel called Laasya with over 2.6 million subscribers, talked about how they are promoting Indian culture and traditions through their Indian – classical fusion dances across the globe. Dr. Niveditha Shetty Hegde hails from Coorg, Karnataka. She is happily married to Dr. Srinidhi Hegde, and in 2014, they were blessed with a beautiful baby girl named Ishanvi. Our shared enthusiasm led us to create our inaugural dance performance for our YouTube channel, 'Laasya.' What's truly remarkable is that she encouraged numerous mothers who, like them, reignited their passion for dance alongside their children. Witnessing these heart-warming connections forged through a shared love for dance is truly inspiring. Dr. Nivedhita shared that she gets correspondence regarding mature women encouraging their mothers to dance by their side, daughters-in-law gracefully dancing with their mothers-in-law, and even young children earnestly attempting to emulate their dance steps.

Sanskriti's audience also witnessed a beautiful performance by both of them. Another dignitary who graced Sanskriti was Devesh Mirchandani. Devesh Mirchandani excels as a prominent figure in the world of dance, boasting a multifaceted career as a renowned performer, choreographer, and dance instructor. He has been profoundly influenced by Guru Pt. Birju ji Maharaj, further solidifying his reputation in the dance community. Devesh specializes in Bollywood dance choreography and is an esteemed member of the Indian Film Dance Directors Association. His unwavering commitment to perfection is evident in his mastery of diverse dance styles, including Jazz, Kathak, Bollywood, Contemporary, and Salsa. He conducts Kathak classes for the JKYog community. Sanskriti also gleamed in the charisma of Little Chef Kicha. Kicha, a student in the first grade at Choice School in Thripunithura, Kochi, Kerala, India, launched his 'Kichatube' channel back in January 2015. Since then, he has risen to YouTube stardom. His channel is dedicated to presenting innovative recipes and kid-friendly gadgets. At the Sanskriti event, he captivated the audience by showcasing a recipe tailored to his purpose to the Sanskriti community.
